Now that I am a mom all I can think about are things I can make for Sofia. I've been so busy making a costume and caring for a sick baby. Sofia is healthy again (Yay!) and I finally finished her owl costume just in the nick of time, too! It is an extremely flawed design and it barely fits her, but I'm so happy it's done. I just love how suddenly Sofia became aware of her surroundings and how everything fascinates her. I love to watch her play. I love the way she moves her little fingers around objects, how she kicks her feet when she feels something near her toes. Well, I suppose you could call this a happy accident? I forgot to pay close attention to the dimensions of the bride while creating her and made her a bit too wide for the jars I have, so this is what I came up with to remedy the issue. I have been glued to the television since I heard the news about the earthquake in Japan and the potential threats of tsunamis in the pacific. Found via Moline, this paper cutter creates some of the most original art I have seen in a very long time. I am amazed ANOTHER artist can blow me away with their creations (which btw I am grateful for because I'm not sure I'd ever want there to be a day when I am not inspired by what I see).
